8 1/8 wide x 5 1/4 deep x 3 3/4 high

The design elements in this box include the use of the knot holes occurring naturally in the birch.  The front and back feature knotholes which are lined with walnut to match the interior.  The lid is a the rich, warm walnut.  The total effect is one of allowing the natural artistic expression in the wood itself, coupled with contrasting splines finishing the corners, to come through. It is an art piece in itself and can be used to store precious items.

All the boxes we craft from Daily Zen Woodcraft are hand-finished with a simple blend of beeswax, Brazilian carnauba wax, mineral oil, and orange oil to enhance the natural beauty and depth of grain in all woods, finished and unfinished. Environmentally safe. This allows the rich color of the woods to stand out. We include a sample size of the Feed and Wax we use on each piece to help maintain the luster for years to come.
