Won-gam (1226-1292)The rain sounds, tenderly pattering
On the bamboos, which engird the eaves.
Suffused with autumn colors,
The maple trees fill every valley.
The yellow flowers are lovely,
Glistening tear-like
In the dewdrops at dawn.
From off the trees, red-tinted leaves
Start to drift and spin into the yard.
