“When a bodhisattva dwelling in samsara first gives rise to the thought of enlightenment, and when s/he seeks enlightenment single-mindedly, firmly, and without vascillating, then the merit contained in that single thought is profound, vast, limitless, and even the Tathagata, when describing in detail that merit, cannot exhaust it, though he expound on it to the end of time.”
